World Rivers Day

World Rivers Day is a day celebrated annually on the fourth Sunday in September to raise awareness about the importance of rivers and to promote efforts to conserve and protect them.

The day was first established in 2005 by the Riverkeeper organization as a way to celebrate the beauty and importance of rivers and to promote their conservation and protection. World Rivers Day is celebrated in countries around the world, with events and activities organized to raise awareness about the importance of rivers and the role they play in our lives. The day is an opportunity to recognize the progress that has been made in improving the health of rivers and to renew efforts to ensure that they are protected and conserved for future generations.
