World Habitat Day

World Habitat Day is a day celebrated annually on the first Monday of October to raise awareness about the importance of adequate housing and to promote efforts to improve the living conditions of people around the world.

The day was first designated by the United Nations in 1985 as a way to focus attention on the global problem of inadequate housing and to promote efforts to improve the living conditions of people around the world. World Habitat Day is celebrated in countries around the world, with events and activities organized to raise awareness about the importance of adequate housing and the role that everyone can play in improving the living conditions of people around the world.

The day is an opportunity to recognize the progress that has been made in improving housing conditions and to renew efforts to ensure that everyone has access to a safe and decent place to live.
