International Day of Nonviolence

International Day of Nonviolence is a day celebrated annually on October 2nd to promote the ideals of nonviolence and to encourage people to embrace nonviolence as a way of life. The day was first designated by the United Nations in 2007 as a way to honor the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi.
