SUMMARY:Ganesh Chaturthi
DESCRIPTION:Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi or Vinayaka Chaviti, is a Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Ganesha, prosperity, and good fortune. The festival is observed on the fourth day (chaturthi) of the Hindu lunar month of Bhadrapada, which falls in August or September.\nGanesh Chaturthi is a time of great celebration and devotion for Hindus, with special prayers, rituals, and ceremonies held in temples and homes. The festival is marked by the installation of clay statues of Lord Ganesha in homes and public pandals (temporary shrines), and the singing of devotional songs and the performance of traditional dances. At the end of the festival, the statues are taken out in a grand procession and immersed in a body of water, symbolizing the deity’s return to the divine realm.\n
